Presbyterian Women

All women members of the Presbyterian Church USA are members of Presbyterian Women and may take part in any or all activities of the group. The goals of Presbyterian Women at First Presbyterian include:

• Developing and demonstrating greater compassion for and companionship with others
• Developing a program that will give each woman the opportunity to participate and to enrich her own spiritual life
• Continuing and expanding opportunities for spiritual growth through Circle studies, prayer groups, special programs and retreats.

 

Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

• to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
• to support the mission of the church worldwide,
• to work for justice and peace,
• and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church USA and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

 

Presbyterian Women's Circle meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 10 a.m. Meetings are held at the First Presbyterian Church (3rd floor classroom), in homes, or other locations. Please check with a Circle member or the Church office for upcoming meeting locations.

The Needlework Circle meets monthly on Sundays at 3 p.m..
